If you have a chair nearby, sit in the chair with your back straight and lift your legs until they are parallel with the ground. Hold them there for five seconds before lowering them slowly on the inhale. This is a great one to do if you are alone the office and need to get your blood pumping.

Finally, remember that working with lower abdominal exercises is essentially doing core exercises, so make sure that you take advantage of the Pilates craze and get an exercise ball. Start by trying to kneel on all fours on the ball. You'll find that this is a great way to tighten your muscles and to really make them work.
